Actuarial Models for Sickness Insurance

Abstract

We describe the basic actuarial structure of sickness insurance products, whose main characteristics have been presented in Sect. 3.4. In particular, we focus on insurance products which provide a fixed daily benefit in the case of (short-term) disability.
