Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for the development of the printed monopole antenna bio-inspired in orchid petal-shape, generated by Gielis formula for indoor wireless applications, operation in 4G, 4.5G, and wireless local area networks bands. The monopole measured and simulated have greater results, as indication for Long Time Evolution Advanced Proof 3rd Generation Partnership Project, with measured bandwidth of 4.42 GHz, omnidirectional radiation pattern, maximum gain simulated of 5.43 dBi and half power beam width of 102°.
