Abstract

Osseous genioplasty was first described by Hugo Obwegeser in 1957. Today it remains an essential procedure with which plastic and maxillofacial surgeons should be familiar. The procedure is relatively straightforward. It allows the surgeon complete control in repositioning the chin to the desired position.
