Abstract

The long overdue disintegration/purification work of detonationnanodiamond (discovered 40 years ago) is in good progress. Here are described features of two novel processes adopted, stirred media millingand diamond carbon analysis. Contamination with bead material providesserious problem in the milling and preventive ways are discussed. Blackcolor that appears as the disintegration proceeds is introduced. Necessityand principles of diamond analysis by integrated X-ray diffractionintensities and theoretically attainable highest purity are discussed.
