Abstract

This article will describe the forms of moral decadence in the play "Operation" by Putu Wijaya. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The source of data in this research is drama scripts. The data in this study were obtained from excerpts of dialogue, narration, and behavior of characters in drama scripts that describe forms of moral decadence. The research data were analyzed using reading, inventory, and recording techniques. The results show that the forms of moral decadence in drama scripts are moral decadence in human relations with God in the form of not being grateful for God's favors, moral decadence in relation to human relations with society in the form of being disrespectful to others, and moral decadence in human relations with themselves in the form of insecure and arrogant.
