Abstract

A drive system is used to transmit the power from input to the output shaft. The contact between the meshing components will lead to loss of energy due to the friction between them. This paper aims at the design and fabrication of a magnetic friction-less drive system aiming at increasing the efficiency of the drive by minimizing the friction. Presently the system is designed for low speeds. However, theoretical implementation of this in high speed applications is suggested in this paper.
