Abstract

The development of the Cruzar.uy university project, a digital information and documentation system linked to the processing and automatic learning of files from the recent past of Uruguay, is presented. The general objective focuses on the crossing of data from the systematization of the information contained in the documents of military, police and State archives in general, produced in the period between 1968 and 1985. For this, computer concepts and the establishment of different research methodologies in the areas of engineering, archival science, communication and social sciences are described. The importance of the social function in human rights archives in the search for truth and justice, and the construction of the memory of society is addressed.
