Abstract

The article discusses the author's contention that the time has come for medical librarianship to engage more fully with the areas of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) health through demonstrations of support and development of specialized training. It notes how LGBTQ people continue to experience discrimination in their daily lives ranging from frequent and difficult to prove microaggressions to aggressive heteronormativity and systemic discrimination.
