Abstract

The present study was designed to analyze the relative contribution of various communication media in the transfer of modern agricultural technologies to farmers. Data were collected from a sample of 150 farmers from two villages under Sadar upazila of Mymensingh district. A weighted score was used in order to compute the relative use of different communication media. Agricultural knowledge, competence as farmer and age were significantly related to the adoption of rice technologies; innovativeness and behaviour intent were significantly related to livestock production; behaviour intent was significantly related to fish culture; and agricultural knowledge, competence as farmer and age were significantly related to overall agricultural technology adoption. -from Authors
