Abstract

The so-called measure of approximation quality plays an important role in many applications of rough set based data analysis. In this chapter, we provide an overview on various extensions of approximation quality based on rough-fuzzy and fuzzy-rough sets, along with highlighting their potential applications as well as future directions for research in the topic. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
