Abstract

Pruritus occurs to a varying extent in patients with epidermolysis bullosa (EB). If moderate to severe, it is a significant burden to the patient. The understanding of the pathogenesis of pruritus generally has matured in recent years. The pathogenesis and management of pruritus in the specific context of EB has been barely studied. This chapter summarises the current knowledge of the pathogenesis and management of pruritus in EB.
