Abstract

Information on distribution, uses and chromosome numbers are provided for all species, subspecies and cultivar groups in the genus Solanum L. (Solanaceae) that occur in Uganda. The distribution is influenced by a number of factors, including rainfall, altitude and type of vegetation, the weedy nature of some species and whether the species are crops or ornamentals
