The rapid development of technology has made Company X also strive to expand the enterprise by implementing digital transformation. The digital transformation began with the forming the IT Division in 2020. However, based on the results of an assessment using a mixed method, namely quantitative and qualitative methods, 53% of IT Division employees were stressed by inefficient collaboration models and top-down communication culture. Previous research has shown that one of the sources of work stress is the communication culture within the organization. Therefore, researchers created psychoeducation/training to raise awareness of the importance of assertive communication in the workplace. The training was conducted on-site for 90 minutes with 46 employees of the IT Division at Company X using the Communication Accommodation Theory strategy. The results show that assertive communication is significant to be applied in the work environment (96.8%), reduces work stress (87.1%), reduces confusion in communicating with colleagues (93.6%), and increases positive relations within the work team (96.7%). In conclusion, the training provided was effective enough to raise awareness of the importance of assertive communication in the workplace to reduce levels of work stress and improve work coordination.
