Little has been discovered from research on how youth develop resilience or how they find the means to shape their own developmental trajectories toward health or competence. Even less is known from research about the ways that scientific intervention and prevention programs can increase the resiliency processes among youth. Nevertheless, there are many clues as to how resilience might be enhanced through experimental interventions. This chapter discusses how some of the known intervention approaches might be adapted for a new generation of sponsored prevention research.
