Abstract

Endocrine tumors constitute a heterogeneous group of neoplasms that originate in the pituitary, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, the endocrine pancreatic islets, and the neuroendocrine cells in the adrenal glands or dispersed in the digestive and respiratory tracts. © 2010 Springer-Verlag New York.
