História e música popular: um mapa de leituras e questões

Abstract

This article intends to be a map of the historiographic questions on Brazilianpopular music. Based on my personal experience as scholar, I proposeresearch trends, heuristic problems and methodological debates, whichcharacterize the agenda of popular music studies in Brazil since 1980’s, froma historiographic perspective. Besides this points, the article proposesfurther themes and problems to new researches on Brazilian music.
