Abstract

This paper describes a method of immediate breast reconstruction following conservative breast surgery. The technique is innovative in that axillary clearance, quadrantectomy and the harvest of the latissimus dorsi muscle are carried out through a small transverse axillary incision with no incision in the breast. © 2001 The British Association of Plastic Surgeons.
