Bullying and Cyberbullying in the Peruvian context (2017-2021): A systematic review

Abstract

Bullying is a relevant social issue due to its negative impact on the health and well-being of those affected. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct a systematic review in Peru that encompasses previous research in this area. The objectives of this review are to identify, evaluate, and synthesize all relevant studies on bullying conducted in Peru between 2017 and 2021. For its presentation, the PRISMA 2020 guidelines were employed, drawing upon the databases WoS, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Scielo, Redalyc, and PubMed. After completing the searches and applying the criteria, 11 articles were selected. The results were grouped into three factors: environmental, personal, and psychological, which provide a comprehensive understanding of bullying in the Peruvian context. Possible implications for future research are discussed.
