This chapter tackles how individuals’ power, relationships, and experiences can be utilised for both pre-disaster communication and community engagement. We begin by looking at the individual and their roles in the community and how they connect to their immediate and extended environments. This chapter explores how boundaries set by establishments like the government can be extended especially in engaging and communicating with GIDA communities.
