Abstract

In this chapter, some of the concepts introduced in Chap. 11 are extended to nonlinear higher-order circuits. In particular, we generalize the complementary component method to find the state equations of a given circuit and propose a method for analyzing and classifying steady-state DC solutions, corresponding to equilibrium points. The most common bifurcations of equilibria are also introduced and described. Finally, we propose some remarks about small-signal analysis of nonlinear circuits.
