Abstract

Cartilage injuries are known to be troublesome to treat due to the poor repair capacity of joint cartilaginous tissues. The last 50 years of orthopaedic technical development has involved the presentations of different approaches of how to treat painful joints with different cartilage repair methods. This chapter contains the history of how surgeons have tried to treat the patients that have sustained cartilage injuries.
