Abstract

In the paper a vision system capable to extract and to recognize vehicle motion patterns in a video sequence is described. The video sequence is an isometric view of a crossroad. There is no additional knowledge about the scene. The novelty of the proposed approach lies mainly in the vehicle tracking method and the way of motion pattern representation. The recognition method is based on the Hidden Markov Model.
