Abstract

The fifth and sixth sessions of the workshop provided an overview of the design in AM, including topology optimization and various design approaches in industry. Prof. Ole Sigmund (Technical University of Denmark, Denmark), Prof. Xu Guo and Prof. Shutian Liu (Dalian University of Technology, China), Prof. Michael Yu Wang (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, China), Prof. Pinlian Han (Southern University of Science and Technology, China), and Prof. Xiangming Wang (Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute of AVIC, China) each discussed researches, challenges, and future directions related to this topic.
