This paper presents an ambient agent-based model that addresses the assessment of driving behaviour. In case of negative assessment, cruise control slows down and stops the car. The agent model has been formally specified in a component-based manner in the form of an executable specification that can be used for prototyping. A number of simulation experiments have been conducted. Moreover, dynamic properties of components at different aggregation levels and interlevel relations between them have been specified and verified. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
