Abstract

The concept of case-based reasoning (CBR) system for financial forecasting, the dynamics of issuing invoices and the corresponding cash inflow for a fair exhibition is presented in this paper. The aim of the research is the development of a hybrid intelligent tool, based on the heuristic interpolating CBR adaptation phase and the data gravitation classification method in the revise phase. The previous experience with new forecasting is taken into account. Simulations performed are based on the already known behaviour of the adapted logistic curves followed during the last eight years of fair exhibitions. Methodological aspects have been practically tested as a part of the management information system development project of "Novi Sad Fair". © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
