Abstract

Malformations of the TMJ and mandible are more frequently seen in the acquired and developmental setting. This chapter will explore the congenital malformations of the TMJ and mandible which by their very nature are often associated with a syndrome. The most commonly encountered malfor-mations of this region will be discussed individually, to include the more commonly known and documented syndromes.
