Abstract

Power as a concept has been used to attempt to understand what influences, shapes and drives people; how they perceive and position themselves vis-à-vis other people; degrees of human autonomy, agency and the scale of wider economic, social, cultural and other dimensions which affect people individually and collectively (Lukes, 2005; Scott, 1990).
