The experience of being treated can have negative emotional effects that affect the physiological functions of the child. Interventions in the form of therapeutic play are needed to reduce negative effects, blowing balloons and singing are expected to prevent pneumonia complications. This literature study aims to see how valid therapeutic play in this case blowing up balloons and singing can support the improvement of breathing of children with pneumonia. This literature review uses the Proquest, Ebsco, Sciencedirect and Wiley databases (2009-2019), of 15 articles. Finally 9 articles were selected and it was found that playing with music and singing and blowing balloons or modifying pursed lip breathing can significantly improve oxygenation status for children. Keywords: children; pneumonia; therapeutic play; modified pursed lip breathing; blow balloons; sing; O2 saturation ABSTRAK Pengalaman dirawat dapat menimbulkan efek emosional negatif yang berdampak terhadap fungsi fisiologis bagi anak. Intervensi berupa bermain terapeutik diperlukan untuk dapat mengurangi efek negatif, meniup balon dan bernyanyi diharapkan dapat mencegah komplikasi pneumonia. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa valid bermain terapeutik dalam hal ini meniup balon dan bernyanyi dapat mendukung perbaikan pernapasan anak dengan pneumonia. Tinjauan literatur ini menggunakan database Proquest, Ebsco, Sciencedirect dan Wiley (2009-2019), terhadap 15 artikel. Akhirnya terpilih 9 artikel dan ditemukan bahwa bermain terpeutik bernyanyi dan meniup balon atau modifikasi pursed lip breathing secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan status oksigenasi bagi anak.
