Abstract

Due to the rapid and complex characteristics of badminton, the traditional methods of sports data acquisition were difficult to meet the needs of badminton. This paper analyzes the current situation of application of sensor technology in badminton at home and abroad and, on this basis, proposes an improved integrated data acquisition method using a variety of micro-sensors. This method could collect the racket acceleration and shuttle ball speed, lower arm acceleration, and the rotation angular velocity of upper arm and shoulder when badminton players hit the ball. Analyzing these data can provide scientific reference data for badminton team to train athletes and reliable data support to assess the skills level of the athletes.
