Abstract

Fe-Cu binary mixed powder compacts expand abruptly at about 1083 degree C due to Cu melting, and this is an obstacle to sintering. Diffusion was measured in the temperature range from 1105 to 1210 degree C by the residual activity method with radio-active tracer **6**4Cu. The temperature dependence of the lattice diffusion coefficient D//l and the grain boundary diffusion coefficient D//g//b are expressed by equations.
