Abstract

Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is a bariatric operation that results in a tubular gastric conduit based on the lesser curvature, thus restricting the reservoir function of the stomach. This chapter describes the indications, contraindications, operative strategy and technique, pitfalls and danger points, and complications associated with this operation.
