Abstract

A new cannabinoid named cannabicyclolic acid (I) was isolated from the stored Cannabis, harvested early in the vegetative phase, and synthesized from cannabichromenic acid by means of ultraviolet light irradiation. Cannabicyclolic acid is not an original cannabinoid but an artificial product, converted from cannabichromenic acid by natural irradiation during the storage of the Cannabis. © 1972, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
