Abstract

Reliable attribution statement records act as an effective way in which digital image copyright holders provide ownership evidence to defend their rights and interests. The centralized registration from the Copyright Office has shortcomings of high service cost, long processing time and susceptibility to tampering registration records. The decentralized solution based on public blockchain suffers the flaw that registration costs and service availability are susceptible to the prices of the relevant digital currencies as well as the transaction processing costs. In this paper, we propose an applying pattern of consortium blockchain, then put forward a decentralized architecture of digital image copyright registration based upon the applying pattern. Besides, based on the architecture and the registration logic design, a decentralized application prototype, which takes into account stable low service cost, instant registration processing and tamper-proof registration information for digital image copyright, is implemented.
