Abstract

The framework of Grid QoS has been focused widely and researched deeply, so it is necessary and very important to provide a complete and feasible architecture from the Grid application, Grid middleware, to network layer, even the concrete resources. In this paper, a kind of architecture for Grid QoS infrastructure is proposed based on other architectures suggested by Globus project, Global Grid Forum, IETF and so on. In addition, the advance resource reservation is pivotal to realize Grid QoS. At the same time, optical burst switching (OBS) networks with GMPLS support is analyzed and suggested as the Grid infrastructure. Related conclusion is also given in detail. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
