Abstract

Scrotal operations are among the most common operations performed by urologists. Postoperative scrotal complications may have significant morbidity for the patient, with time to full resolution often measured in weeks to months. Therefore, it is important to adhere to surgical principles that minimize potential morbidity. These surgical principles include excellent hemostasis, sufficient debridement of inflammatory lesions, and drainage where indicated. © 2006 Humana Press Inc.
