Abstract

Five new sesquiterpene glycosides, macroclinisides A (II), B (III), C (IV), D (V), E (VI), have been isolated from Macroclinidium trilobum Makino together with glucozaluzanin C (I). The structures were determined on the basis of chemical and spectral data. Macrocliniside C has antitumor activity in mice. © 1984, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
