Abstract
An original algorithm is presented for generating discrete approximations to ellipses for display on raster devices. The approach is not new, but it is original in the sense that existing ideas have been combined to render a better algorithm. The new algorithm is evaluated from the benchmarks of efficiency, accuracy and elegance.
