Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to give researchers a working knowledge of the skills and tasks that are involved in managing research projects in clinical child & pediatric psychology. Specific issues addressed include the attributes of an effective research manager, managing research-related responsibilities, working with a research team, supervising and monitoring research staff, developing data management and analytic capabilities, securing and maintaining resources to conduct research, managing research budgets, preparing progress reports, and training for management of research projects.
