The rapid expansion of the internet in the past few years has enormously increased the availability of digital data such as audio, images and video to the public. This motivates the protection of digital information against illegal duplication and manipulation. Digital watermarking is a technique for protecting the copyright of intellectual property which has become as active research area recently. Watermarking is a process of embedding copyright information or an identification number to the digital data. This paper proposes an oblivious scheme for video watermarking. This proposes the idea of embedding different parts of single watermark into different scenes of a video. The watermark is extracted from the watermarked image without any knowledge of the original image. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
