Abstract

Suspended particles in air may be caused by industrial processes and use of wood or coal as a fuel. These particles are a menace from the health and a esthetics point of view. This has caused a widespread concern about the removal of such particles and enforcement of increasingly severe regulations. Electrostatic precipitation is a powerful means to fight this menace.
