SHAPE MEMORY EFFECTS IN ALLOYS.

Abstract

Thirty-one papers by various authors are given in this symposium devoted to understanding Shape Memory Effects (SME) in alloys. Among the various problems reviewed and analyzed are phase transformations, thermodynamics, crystallography, and deformation mechanisms. The applications reported include papers on coupling devices, integrated circuit manufacturing and heat engines. Individual papers are abstracted separately.
