Abstract

This is the first book to specifically address the subsidiary developmentprocess-a phenomenon by which multinational company subsidiaries enhancetheir resources and capabilities. It shows how this process is integral tomultinational corporate evolution, which is largely driven by changes insubsidiaries and their development. It also illustrates how the trend towardsgreater international dispersal of value-adding activities has impacted onthis process and on multinational evolution as a whole.
