Abstract

This chapter examines the reliability and validity of edTPA, primarily by applying traditional psychometric methods for evaluating the effectiveness of assessment instruments. It provides description of reliability and validity; the purpose and structure edTPA; an analysis of edTPA based on reliability, inter-rater reliability, and validity. The analysis of edTPA includes its value and effectiveness, including a comparison to other predictors of teacher effectiveness.
