Abstract

A short historical account is given on the discoveries of Rh'-BINAP-catalyzed asymmetric isomerization of allylamines. The catalysis provides a facile means of making numerous chiral fragrant molecules, stimulating chemical science and culture. © Acta Chemica Scandinavica 1996.
