Abstract

Complications of total parenteral nutrition include sepsis, thrombosis, and metabolic abnormalities. Although several cases of right atrial thrombosis as a complication of total parenteral nutrition have been described in premature infants, it has not, to our knowledge, been described in adults. We report such a case in an adult. © 1987, British Medical Journal Publishing Group. All rights reserved.
