Abstract

This paper focused to designing and control of unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) for improving the load enhancement. In this paper, the authors presented the modeling of UPQC-based power system network for improving the voltage profile and load enhancement in a radial distribution power network under various power system faults. The objective of this paper is to improve the voltage profile and load enhancement using an intelligent controller based UPQC device. The operation of UPQC devices is to be analysis using intelligent controller at various fault conditions. The intelligent controller compares the power system parameters such as voltage and phase angle with the reference value and it will generate the triggering pulses for a voltage source converter of UPQC system. The proposed model will be simulated in MATLAB environment. The simulation results are evaluated with IEEE standards and compare to existing models for strong impact of the proposed model.
