Abstract

We report the whole-genome sequence of a monkeypox virus strain isolated in Israel. The strain was isolated in 2018 from a patient travelling back from West Africa. The virus was fully sequenced on the Illumina MiSeq and Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION platforms.We report the whole-genome sequence of a monkeypox virus strain isolated in Israel.
