Abstract

In this paper, simulated high-level radioactive waste was solidified using a silica matrix composed of alpha -quartz and amorphous aluminosilicate by the hydrothermal hot-pressing technique. The effect of hot-pressing conditions on compressive strength and leachability of the waste forms was investigated.
