The article discusses the regenerative braking of the General Motor (GM) electric car. It states that the GM car uses the City Driving Cycle Federal Test Procedure (FTP) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It also says that the maximum regeneration deceleration of the Volt was 0.5315 gram with a regenerative braking system of under 75 percent. It adds that the 75 percent shows the effective capacity of the regenerative breaking system in slowing the forward motion of the car.
