Thispaper examines the ideas of middle grade students about the feminine figure based on short stories they wrote for a literary contest held in 2011 by two governmet institutions. The investigation found that the violence experienced by women comes, in most cases, from male actors and that they find solidarity mostly among their peers rather than within public intitutions.
